Hyperglycemia is the medical term describing when your blood sugar levels are too high.
Symptoms of hyperglycemia include:
- Feeling more thirsty than usual
- Needing to pee more often
- Increased hunger
- Tiredness
- Blurred vision
- Slow-healing sores
- Dry mouth
- Weakness
- Confusion
Many factors can lead to high blood sugar levels, including how much you’ve eaten or exercised recently or whether you took enough medication, if that’s part of your care plan. Work with your doctor to come up with the best plan for your diet, physical activity, and overall diabetes management so that your blood sugar levels can stay in a healthier range.
